Anna Bonomi Women Award

Fondazione Investindustrial and Bocconi have launched the "Anna Bonomi Women Award" project to support 18 talented women in pursuing a three-year degree program. The initiative, presented during an event in honor of Anna Bonomi Bolchini, Italian entrepreneur and philanthropist, is a tribute to her legacy 20 years after her passing.

During the event that took place on Monday, November 27, the figure of Anna Bonomi Bolchini was commemorated by the President of the Javotte Bocconi Institute and Life Senator, Mario Monti, by Andrea Sironi, President of Bocconi University and Assicurazioni Generali, as well as by her grandson Andrea C. Bonomi, head of Investindustrial. During the event, panel discussions were organized aimed at tracing and remembering Anna Bonomi Bolchini's entrepreneurial journey.

The topics covered ranged from the history of her family to the teachings and legacy left by this prominent figure. Guests at the panel discussions included Andrea Colli, professor of economic history at Bocconi University; Piero Bassetti, a prominent figure in politics and entrepreneurship; Paola Somenzi, a witness of the "Carline" Institute; Giustina Destro, president of the Advanced Biomedical Foundation and vice president of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation; Giorgia Abeltino, Google's artificial intelligence manager for EMEA; Cristina Scocchia, CEO of Illycaffe; and Francesco Billari, rector of Bocconi

The scholarships supported by this project aim to promote female leadership and close the gender gap in career opportunities. The project is part of Bocconi's broader initiative, " Una Scelta Possibile," which seeks to remove socioeconomic barriers for talented students.
The selection process will begin in spring 2024, with scholarships active from the 2024/2025 academic year.
