EssilorLuxottica

EssilorLuxottica is a major supporter of the University, Strategic Partner and top employer. It kicked off its support in 2013 through a major donation to support the student scholarship and waiver program, born out of the desire of the global market leader company to invest in talented young people regardless of background. On the one hand, it has supported students with an international background enrolled in the World Bachelor in Business, the Bocconi-Fudan Double Degree in International Management, and the Graduate Program in Business at the Mumbai International School of Business; on the other hand, it has taken part in the " Una scelta possibile " program, which offers students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds to overcome this starting condition and thus be able to access a university education of excellence. Starting in 2019, then, Luxottica chose to establish the Luxottica Chair in Chinese Market & Business Development, a Chair focused on Asian markets, and the Chinese market in particular, which are increasingly strategic and of common interest to both Luxottica and Bocconi. The Chair was presided over by Fabrizio Perretti, Full Professor in the Department of Management and Technology. However, considering the new global challenges that emerged as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bocconi and EssilorLuxottica collaborated to revise their partnership, redefining its focus and specifications, and orienting their research toward the sphere of Leadership. This led to the creation in 2022 of the EssilorLuxottica Professorship in Leadership, awarded to Professor Massimo Magni.
