DEAThe De Agostini Group is one of the largest family-owned companies in the country and internationally, operating in various sectors such as publishing, media, communications, games, services and alternative investments. Founded in 1901, the company has been led for the past 25 years by President Marco Drago, Bocconi Alumnus of the Year 2002, who has guided the company's transformation through diversification of activities, implementation of a modern corporate governance structure and continuity of leadership. The De Agostini Group shares the same principles and values with Bocconi University and has contributed to the growth of the institution through a philanthropic donation for endowment. In particular, the Group has chosen to associate the name of Marco Drago and the Group itself with the E2.06 classroom that is located in the SDA Bocconi School of Management's Executive Building, in order to inspire the Italian and international ruling class of the future. Furthermore, the Donor established a new academic position, the De Agostini endowed Chair in Corporate Strategy, awarded to Prof. Sonja Opper.

By donating to the endowment fund, the De Agostini Group has proven great trust in Bocconi University, its mission and the management of its resources. The University’s endowment fund is capital that the University invests in the long term generating an annual return, which guarantees the independence and sustainability of Bocconi activities over time.
