AXA

AxaThe relationship between AXA Italia and Bocconi began in 2011 with the establishment of the AXA-Bocconi Chair in Risk, which the AXA Research Fund assigned to Professor Massimo Marinacci. A number of other projects have followed: the allocation of a post-doctoral research fellowship to Nicoletta Balbo, researcher at the DONDENA Research Center; two editions of the FuturAXA graduate program, reserved for postgraduates; the annual AXA-Bocconi Talks/Seminars on major emerging risks, an eBook on Professor Marinacci’s research topics, and the AXA Challenge. This collaboration highlights the common denominator of AXA initiatives at Bocconi: supporting talent, innovation, and optimal research to reinvent insurance. Lastly, the AXA Research Lab on Gender Equality was established in 2020 through Bocconi and AXA’s collaboration, along with the AXA Research Fund. Led by Paola Profeta, it aims to promote studies capable of affecting the policies essential for eliminating the gender gap and thus achieving the goal set in the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda.

Furthermore, as a Strategic Partner, AXA is a member of the Partners for Development Program and is actively involved in life at Bocconi through the Development Committee and the Coordination Committee.

Through the creation of a permanent Chair, AXA has chosen to donate to the endowment, demonstrating that it places great trust in the University, its mission and its management of resources. The University’s endowment fund is capital that the University invests in the long term generating an annual return, which guarantees the independence and sustainability of Bocconi activities over time.
