Breschi

Full Professor  of Applied Economics at the Department of Management and Technology of Bocconi University. Director of the Invernizzi Center for Research on Innovation, Organization and Strategy (ICRIOS) at Bocconi University.  Bachelor degree in Political Economy from Bocconi University and then a Master of Arts (Economics of Innovation and Technology Management) from Merit, University of Limburg, Maastricht (The Netherlands). He then earned a PhD in Political Economy at the University of Pavia.

A dedicated team of researchers with interdisciplinary backgrounds to address several challenges of innovation, organization, strategy and entrepreneurship . ICRIOS fellows are selected among recognized experts in their field of study, and their expertise and interest span across several divisions of the Academy of Management.

Joint Purpose

Funded by a donation from the Invernizzi Foundation, ICRIOS is a research center at Bocconi University created to be a reference point for cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary and collaborative research on innovation, organization, strategy and entrepreneurship, with the explicit objective to influence in a significant way both the academic debate and management practice. ICRIOS promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing at any stage of the research process, especially among scholars in diverse and complementary fields, based across nations, and working in different research traditions. Leveraging networks of top scholars and international research centers, ICRIOS aims to provide high-impact outcomes in academia. In addition to seeking research breakthroughs, ICRIOS aims to develop novel concepts, proven analytical tools and new perspectives to transform the challenges of an increasingly globalized economic and social context into sustainable growth opportunities for nations and companies.

  • Visiting Students Program, which allows students completing an internship at the Center to develop knowledge, expertise and research skills
  • Organization of seminars, workshops and events of great prestige and international relevance (of particular importance is the annual Conference of the Association for Research on Corporate Sustainability-ARCS and the Geography of Innovation-GEOINNO Conference).
