Agri Lab

Lecturer of Operations and Technology at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is Contract Professor of Management at Bocconi University. Vitaliano earned a degree in Political Science with an international focus from Università degli Studi di Pavia, a Master in International Relations from the Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa, a Master in Economics and Management of Energy and the Environment from Bocconi University and a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Università di Bergamo, in collaboration with Bocconi University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - Zaragoza Logistic Center (ZLC), 2014. His research focuses on supply chain management and sustainability with a particular focus on the agribusiness sector.

Joint Purpose

Agriculture is a sector that requires an innovative approach to face challenges and opportunities through up-to-date and structured skills, associated with an extensive and complex value chain called agribusiness. AGRI Lab - the Romeo and Enrica Invernizzi Agribusiness Research Initiative, a research laboratory directed by Professor Vitaliano Fiorillo, was founded in 2019 at SDA Bocconi, based on a 30-year partnership with the Romeo and Enrica Invernizzi Foundation. The Lab aims to understand the challenges of agri-food and disseminate managerial culture in the agricultural sector. AGRI Lab develops knowledge and tools for the management of agricultural companies and the entire agribusiness chain. It aggregates and produces knowledge and skills aimed at understanding and overcoming the challenges of the sector, enriching and disseminating a renewed managerial culture and equipping entrepreneurs, managers and technicians of the sector with practical tools that can be used for business development.
